Our client is an international luxury design house and they are recruiting for a highly motivated, committed, all round Senior Interior Designer to join their LA office. This person will be working on the most exclusive residential, private client and commercial projects in the city!
The candidate will have strong conceptual skills, and good knowledge of interior detailing. Furthermore, you must be comfortable working autonomously and possess exceptional attention to detail.
Candidates need to be able to work in an office that has a casual corporate culture with a team approach. Applicants should be familiar with the interior design process from design development, material research and selection, through to production information and installation.

Education and Experience:
You must have a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), a BFA in Interior Design, BSc in Interior Design or similar, with 4-8 years’ post-graduate experience.
As a Senior Interior Designer you will have proven experience of having successfully led a design team and project(s) from inception to completion for a period of at least 4-6 years, whilst also demonstrating exceptional design skills. Furthermore, you will be comfortable working autonomously and possess exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to create and develop conceptual designs including the skill of using colour and texture
Ability to advise clients on all technical aspects of a design project
Advanced skills in PhotoShop and sketching (3D Studio Max and/or Rhino would be advantageous)
Knowledge of FF&E selection (materials, finishes, detailing and scheduling)
Experience in using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
Some knowledge of Studio software would be advantageous
Self-confident and receptive to constructive feedback
Ability to manage time and work flow of projects efficiently
Proven experience in dealing with suppliers and contractors
The skill to visualise concepts and explain them to others
Fully competent in producing detailed FF&E specification with costings, materials, finishes, and sanitary schedules
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and visual
Exceptional attention to detail
Managing projects efficiently, within schedule and within budget
Managing and briefing design team on live projects
Mentoring and assisting junior and middleweight designers
Managing the procurement of FF&E products
Building and growing existing client relationships
Developing detailed designs and choosing materials
Working closely with the directors, you will be expected to use your initiative on following up on new business opportunities and attend networking events within the industry
