Our client in Orange County seeks an Architectural Project Manager. Ideal candidates will have at least or around 8 years of experience in architecture and experience with one or some of these project types - education, multi-family/ mixed use, commercial, Institutional project types. They offer an opportunity to work on a variety of project types and they prioritize work/life balance.


The Project Manager shall be responsible for coordination of the design and technical efforts of the project team members and the integration of architecture, interiors, engineering and landscape disciplines on the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Project Manager establishes a work plan for each project and is responsible for client relations and to assist the Project Lead, or Project Architect and Principal to obtain repeat business from existing clients. With proper assistance, see to the preparation and execution of agreements consistent with client needs, firm’s technical ability and firm’s projects schedule. Coordinate project with both in-house disciplines and outside consultants and direct in-house staff with the assistance of design personnel.  Submit to and review with client matters pertaining to budget and scope of the work. Coordinate design activity between Owner and various disciplines, act as point of contact for other than design questions. Execute and oversee financial management of projects; monitor reports, etc.  Present design and other project documents to client for review and approval. Manage the efficient development of complete, fully coordinated project documents. Assist in the development and administration of construction contracts if required. Attends meetings with client throughout project and attend project closeout with construction administrator as necessary. Oversees and staff periodic visits and client meetings by firm representative(s).


Skills/ Requirements:

Possess 8+ years experience in project management including construction document preparation and field observation in educational, multi-family/residential, mix-use and institutional projects.  Experience in personnel supervision, competent knowledge of building materials, specifications and construction techniques, experience in dealing with governmental agencies (DSA, CDE, OPSC, State Fire Marshal), codes and ordinances. The ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors and team and strong written and verbal communications skills.  Sufficient knowledge of engineering disciplines to coordinate work and the knowledge of construction process sufficient to coordinate project with contractor. *Must be eligible to work and live in the United States
