Our client is a luxury interior design firm with projects around the world. They do very high end work including residential and hospitality, but they very much need someone with innovative, modern luxury hospitality project experience. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

-Act as associate designer and project manager on select projects 
-Coordinate, prepare and attend client presentations as required
-Participate in the overall design process as required, Client/Consultant interface, space planning, color and material selection, schedule coordination, etc. 
-Create and manage project schedules; meetings, deadlines, critical points, deliverable dates, etc. Keep such projects in scope, on schedule and on budget, while anticipating lead times 
-Source materials, finishes, and vendors according to scope of projects 
-Create and maintain all construction documents, including: electrical, plumbing, appliance and material schedules 
-Maintain timely and professional relations with both client and all third party vendors and sub-contractors, etc. 
-Oversee the management of all such vendors and sub-contractors 
-Attend on-site visits and client meetings in a timely and professional fashion 
-Generate proposals and specs and/or purchase orders
-Travel - international/national, as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

-Excellent skills in client communications 
-Strong organization skills, and technologically savvy 
-A self-starter, someone who can self-prioritize and multitask 
-Comfortable in a fast-paced environment 
-Ability to get oneself to and from client’s homes and various local vendors and workrooms 
-Knowledge of local trade resources, furniture selection and specifying 
-Productive, hard-working and thrives in a team atmosphere 
-At least 5 years industry experience at either a Design firm preferred, with knowledge or specializing in upscale residential and hospitality/hotel projects

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) required
-Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) required
-Proficiency in CAD preferred
-Proficiency in Spexx and Studio Designer preferred
-Ability to scale plans, sketch and render by hand
-Ability to demonstrate/apply knowledge of color theory
-Ability to make informed design selections
