Our client is an award winning boutique architecture firm based in Columbia, Maryland that specializes in civic and cultural projects that improve communities. They are searching for a Staff Architect to join their vibrant studio.

Employees work in collaborative design teams under the direction of the Studio Director. Design teams consist of a Principle, Project Manager, Project Architect and Staff Architect(s). Each member of the design team has equal voice in pursuit of design excellence for each project, and the work environment is flexible.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on design of projects
  • Assists in preparing design drawings and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with design consultants
  • Produce presentation graphics: colored plans, elevations and 3D renderings
  • Build models of new and existing buildings in Revit
  • Perform project code analysis
  • Assists Project Architect with the preparation of specifications
  • Attend meetings with clients and assist with writing minutes of meetings.
  • Supports business development team with graphics for proposals.
  • Build physical study models of buildings

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Architecture License required
  • Revit proficiency preferred
  • Project experience with churches, schools, community centers is a plus
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program, Master’s degree preferred
